"L.A.F.E. is about the importance of loving yourself before being able to love anything or anyone else. Ironically this state can’t always be reached on your own and thats also what this song refers to. It came from hearing so many people saying to each other “don’t you wish you had someone”, or “aren’t you lonely”. The ‘love’ I write about in this context is romantic love. This isn’t all love, although sometimes it seems thats all people see it as. According to the ancient greeks there are 8 types of love; Agape (unconditional love), Eros (romantic love), Philia (affectionate love or friendship), Storge (familiar love), Ludus (playful love/uncommitted), Mania (obsessive love), Pragma (enduring love) and Philaudia (self love)." - DB
